Looking for a hands-on, exciting way to spend your time while learning about Kenya’s incredible reptiles? Join us at Watamu Snake Farm! Whether you're passionate about conservation, fascinated by reptiles, or just looking for a unique experience, our internship programme is the perfect opportunity. You'll get stuck into the daily life of the farm, working with both venomous and non-venomous species.
What You’ll Do:
Help care for a wide range of reptiles, including feeding, cleaning, and habitat enrichment.
Get involved in community education programmes to teach locals about snake conservation and bite prevention.
Work on digitalising research data or help us create amazing content for social media.
Programme Information

1–3 months: $200 per week
3–6 months: $175 per week

Accommodation is available at the Bush Snake Cottage for $30/day per person, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

What’s Included: Full support and training from our experienced handlers (and plenty of stories from Kyle and the team), plus six action-packed days a week working hands-on with reptiles.
What’s Not Included: Meals, transport, and personal expenses – but we’re happy to guide you on the best options!
